Sprinfield IL.....

Hello All,
Today we went to Abe Lincoln's home in Springfield. That was interesting because it had the orignal banister still in the home, so as we went up the stairs we all touched the banister... Ok try to wrap your head around that I touched the same banister as ABE LINCOLN! What? That is amazing isn't it?
Next we went to the Lincoln Museum, which was so interesting. They had lots of artifacts, plus a couple of movies and lots of info about Abe's rise to power and his family. We then went over to the Cozy Dog which is an original place to eat on Route 66.... Ok, it was super yummy! Corn dogs, hot dogs, chili dogs, a dog anyway you could want it, they had it.... You can see that Gary was enjoying his cozy dog and I had one too. (Karen this is the food part for you!)
But our traveling companion Marie (the first woman on the left in the pic above) ate 3, yes 3 hot dogs there! She was a better man than any of the men with us! You go Marie!! How does she stay so slim???I hate Marie....... just kidding! :o)
We drove for about 60 miles on Route 66 today through small towns and open space. It was totally cool.. Made it to St. Louis, here for two nights....
Tomorrow we are off to take pictures of the cars at the arch and a tour of the Budweiser plant.
More tomorrow.... Ter :o)
