Today the time to have "AIS "was 8:30am...We left Alliance in beautiful weather and headed to Rapid City... We decided to go thru wind caves and then to Custer State Park so we could see some Buffalo. Well, we sure did! They were on the road, crossing the road, next to the road and right next to the car They are H U G E !!!. We saw lots of mommies and babies and have some cool pics of them all.. We saw prairie dogs, donkeys and antelope as well. Those darn donkeys were putting there heads into the cars and blocked traffic for about 10 minutes! Too funny! We had the most beautiful weather and everything is super green here, the clouds are fluffy like big pieces of pop corn, they look like the clouds from the opening of the Simpson's... It is windy here though, and ya know how I love the wind! :o) We went through 3 tunnels and some pig tale bridges. When you came out of one of the tunnels you had a gorgeous view of Mt. Rushmore. It was so beautiful!
Tomorrow we will go to the base of Mt. Rushmore for a more up close and personal view of Rushmore and explore the town around there, which has a lot going on with caves, rides and panning for gold... We are here for 3 nights and two full days as there is so much to do around here...
