CHICAGO....

Today started with a great breakfast at our great hotel... I love the Hyatt and want to stay here a few more days..... But I digress.... We took the train into Chicago this morning at 8:40 and arrived at 9:50... we had to then take a bus to downtown to Macy's to pick up our Go cards to get into all the things we wanted to see today. We got them and headed by bus to the Field Museum to see Sue, the most complete skeleton of a T-Rex.. That is a pic of Sue on the left. We saw a 3-D movie about finding dino bones which was totally cool! We toured a bit more of the museum and then on to two busses and a free trolley to get to the Navy Pier. It was a cool (naw...COLD) day and the wind off of the lake was pretty cold...We of course decided to take a boat cruise to see the architecture of Chicago. That's us on the boat on the right! It was FREEZING, but fun. We enjoyed seeing all of the buildings from the boat. Then we walked the pier and had our anniversary dinner at Riva. We had a window seat overlooking the lake and the skyline and the food was awesome! Very nice..Thanks Honey!
We caught a bus to Union Station and then the train and shuttle to our hotel.... A full day to say the least. Tomorrow we start Route 66 to Springfield IL! If my hotel there has internet I will report on the day.... Gary booked some "Old Style" hotels along the way so if I miss a day, its because of no WIFI... Talk to you soon!
